In your letter dated 4th December 1997, to Dr Keith Jones, you request that a copy be sent to me. I have only two additional points to make to the reply you have already I received.

First, I am pleased to assure you that I am in good health.

Second, I would warmly welcome a referral, by you, to the Committee on Standards in Public Life. You appear to seek their adjudication "on the conflicts of interest" which you allege in your letter of 4th December 1997, and which you imply in your article in the International Journal of Risk & Safety in Medicine (1 0; 75-126: 1997). 1 assume that you will provide me with your evidence for your allegations at the time you made your referral.
