Dear Mr Medawar,
Thank you for your letter of 9 August.
There is no standard definition for what constitutes an "interested organisation" in relation to medicines regulation. You may know that we consult as and when required with a wide range of organisations, such as license holders, trade and professional bodies, healthcare providers, patient and consumer groups when we make proposals to amend medicines legislation, or where we are seeking views on a particular policy proposal. The list of those we consult will vary according to the particular proposal, though on some issues we can ask well over 3,000 different organisations for views.
I have passed your details to our Information Centre so that Social Audit will receive future MCA public consultation letters. I am asking the Information Centre to send you copies of any consultation letters which are currently "live".
Yours sincerely | |
