Dear Mr Medawar
Thank you for your letter of 20 October and the Tables illustrating the extent and cost of NHS prescriptions in England during 1997 of drug products considered "less suitable for prescribing". This data will be brought to the attention of all Members of the Health Committee.
Your suggestion that the implications of the statistics might form the basis of further investigation will be considered when the Committee next meets to decide topics for future inquiry. At the moment the Committee has a full programme which is likely to take it well into 1999.
Yours sincerely, |
John Whatley |
Second Clerk of the Committee |
