I am enclosing a hard copy of some comments posted to our website about an editorial in the January 2006 edition of the American Journal of Psychiatry, recommending that the FDA reconsider its 2004 warning about the possibility of suicidal behaviour at the onset of drug treatment. Alongside these comments is correspondence arising with the principal author of the study that prompted this recommendation.

Please will you now consider the need for some retraction or modification of both the paper and the editorial? I should be grateful if you would let me know what you conclude.
