I'm currently going off Effexor XR. So far none of the debilitating side effects, except when I look (move my eyes) left & right, I get a whooshing noise in my ears. As long as I look mostly straight ahead I'm fine, and moving my eyes up & down does not make the whoosh noise. I don't get dizziness or headaches. Just wondering if anyone's had a similar experience and how long it might last.
By the way, this was NOT my experience going onto Effexor XR (75mg) while simultaneously going off Prozac (20mg). I had lots of bad headaches and basically spent a couple of weeks in bed until it settled out and the headaches went away.
The Effexor did give me more drive than Prozac, but it has made me more aggressive, like easily provoked into nearly-physical arguments. It is a wonder I haven't been in a fist fight. I have NEVER been like that before, so I am very sure it is the medication. That is one of the main reasons I'm going off it.
