I'm surprised that there seems to be little or no reference to Effexor in its 'XL' form. This carries the drug in little time capsules, similar to some cold remedies. This means that instead of your body being flooded with the full dose which then trails away to minimal over 24 hours, it gets a steady trickle (terrible thing, old age!) all day long. This certainly seems to help when starting from scratch. Goodness knows how much our non UK freinds would have to pay, but it's certainly worth asking.
