I have been taking effexor & other SSRI's for years. Many years ago, I told my doc. that when i missed a pill or two, within 3-4 few days, i experienced "neurologic" type withdrawl symptoms.. like electric shock in brain, tingling in face & tongue, general dizziness and more. He, along with other doctors & nurses, said they had never heard of this & they did not think it was related to "skipping" a few pills. Well, now, several years later, I finally see that others are experiencing the same effects as i have for so long. At least i dont think i am just a one in a million case any longer. i am still on SSRI's, Effexor now, and it only takes a few hours of missing a pill before i begin to experience withdrawl. I am afraid to stop because when i have tried, i either cant stand the withdrawl or i sink into a suicidal depression. VERY FRIGHTENING!
