If you feel able to cope with a VERY weighty tome, I can recommend 'Depression and how to survive it' ISBN009177019X. It is credited to SPIKE MILLIGAN as author, with Anthony Clare, who was Spike's shrink (sorry, I can't spell psychiatrist), as consultant. However it is clearly written by the latter! I found that the information gleaned from it put the whole sorry business into perspective. Particularly, the desperate search for a 'reason' for feeling so crap. I've pondered on the lot; MS,ME, Tumours, etc. The fact is that Depression IS the reason. Once one gets a grip on this fact alone, it makes life much easier to cope with. Also, in answer to Jason's question, I found that the fatigue didn't go away; it simply changed to a form that enabled daily life to continue, much like the difference between being UNABLE to function due to a hangover, and being very tired the morning after a day of heavy work, but nonetheless able to function normally. However, we are all different.
