Some of the side effects were so strange, yet the doctor didn't bother to tell me about them until I mentioned them in therapy, and then he was like, "Oh yes, that's a side effect."
1) Eating enormous amounts of food and ALWAYS being hungry / starving: I could outeat any guy I went out with, and usually finished my food AND theirs. 2) Upset stomach : no matter what I ate, my stomach was always sick, and it rapidly came out the other end, so I never gained weight. 3) Sweating like crazy: I sweat through my suits at work. I had to stop wearing silk shirts as I ruined them in one day. I sweat so badly at night that the bed was sopping wet every morning, and my boyfriend said I radiated heat like crazy. 4) No need for allergy pills: "oh yes, people say that a slight anti-allergy affect is often a side effect." 5) Terrible depression and suicial thoughts: Why would a doctor prescribe a pill with this side effect?! I was prescribed Celexa four years ago for anxiety (maybe it was working 80+ hours a week for an internet start-up, perhaps), and spent four years in a depressed hell. I should have just quit my job and done some yoga while looking for a job with a slower pace.
I wish I could sue my therapist for the past four ruined years of my life!!
