To keep this brief, I have been off work for the last 6 months (diagnosed as suffering from Chronic Anxiety / Depression.) Before that I had been off for over 1 year and several other absences with the same underlying problem. I have been treated with various Anti-Depressants (seroxat, lustral, citalopram) and have recieved Cognitive Therapy treatment from a Psychotherapist. I work for Local Government and I now fear for my job. Does anybody know if I would qualify for ill health retiral. The fear over losing my job, and the obvious financial consequencs have exacerbated the problems over the years. I have been employed for 19 years and am 37 years old.I have generally had the same anxiety disorder for most of my life, but much worse over the last 3 years. Any help would be appreciated.
