Good Morning, I have been doing research on my doctors, and I am really ashamed of myself for not looking into them sooner. Back in 1997 I hurt my back on the job. I had gone to several doctors about the problem. Well pain finally got better after time went on. Then in Jan. 2002 I hurt it again on the job. The one doctor kept giving me Amitriptyline saying it would help me. So like a patient I took this drug. I was feeling, worthlessness, hopelessness, feeling the pain was in mt head cause thats what the doctor was saying. I went off the drug and felt better mentally. Not physically. But better. Then in Dec. 2002 I was in a car accident. I got rear-ended and the other car came down the side of my van. I had a pinched ulnar nerve in my left arm, headaches, and neck pain. Well the first doctor I went to the day after the accident, ordered a cat scan of my head and neck. 3 months went by and I was about to have surgeyr on just my arm. When I went to my Attorney and told him I was still having neck pain. He told me to go back to the surgeon and have him check it out. I did just that. But come to find out the first doctor knew that there was a problem, a herinated disc at the C5-C6 in my neck. So I believed this surgeon that I needed surgery. So on April 11,2003 this year I ahd both surgerys done on the same day. It took the surgeon 9 1/2 hours in Surgery. Since surgery I have always told the surgeon about the pain in my neck and shoulders. He has told me for the last 8 months it was called the LAWSUIT STRESS.. I told him Bull-sh--. That had nothing to do with the pain I have been in. Then he wanted a myelogram done. What a joy. The first one wasn't bad, I made it through it. But then a week later he had ordered another one lower in my back. While the Radiologist was doing the myelogram he hit my spinal cord not just once but 5 times while he was in there. Yelled at me to hold still, now how can a person hold still when he hit the spinal cord my legs and feet jumped all over the table I was laying on. I was crying so hard I wanted him to quit. But he kept going. Then the cat scan was done. after the radiologist told me I could leave right away. I got up from the cat scan table and barely was able to walk to get my clothes on. I went to walk out to the waiting room where my friend was made it to the wheel chair before I fell. I said get me the hell out of here. We got to the van and came home. Every since I have had lower back pain and pain shooting down my both legs and into my fett. I have terrible muscle spams just about every night. The surgeon order a pap smear and other test saying that was where my problems are. I had everything done and nothing was wrong. Guess what my surgeon took off to California. In our Local newspaper, there was a article in there about another woman sueing my Surgeon for Malpratice. Since one week ago I have found out this Surgeon was brought up on a Malpractice suit in 1997 in Norfolk, VA. Did the wrong cervical neck surgery, then he went from there and went to The State of Washington, More malpractice suits were filed, then went fromt here and went to Southern California and Came here last year. Now I see he just went back to Washington and renewed his Credentials for the State of Washington to do more surgeries. I have another Doctors appointment this Weds. with a new Doctor here to find out if the Surgeon screwed up on me as well. We think he did. There has been more Malpractcie suits here in South Dakota against this Surgeon. SO First of all I should of had a second opion before the first Surgery and then gone and checked out this doctor before having him cut into me. It you want to read what I had read about him, go to www.overlakehospital.com and good, bad and ulgy dr.'s. This is really scary for me. Now my faith in Doctors isn't where it should be... Has any one ever heard of Dr. Britt M. Borden? Born in 1961. he is the Neurosurgeon. If so Please email me back at my own email.. Thank you
