In your letter of 24 January, you said you would get in touch 'shortly' about Direct to Consumer Advertising, once your Council had been able to discuss it. You suggested this might be done in March; I would be glad to know if any policy position emerged.

I note you will be speaking soon at the "3rd Annual European Conference" on DTCA. In this connection I am enclosing a copy of a letter I recently sent to the MCA, about the misleading advertising for tolterodine (Detrol/Detrusitol, Pharmacia & Upjohn). I should be pleased to have a copy of your presentation in February, after the event. Given the admission fee of £734.38, I'm not likely to attend.
